Comments on: The Dalhousie Trip

I am planning to go for this trek between 21st and 25th Dec 2007 but unfortunately there is no online booking available. I tried calling the Delhi office but the bookings are tight on these days. Can i directly go to Dalhousie and try my luck ??? do they accomodate extras ???? if i am not able to join this trek, can i hire a porter and complete this trek ??? are there any places close to the kalatop or khajjiar base camp where i can stay ??? please send me ur reply on mahendra.jadhav@gmail.com or mahendra.jadhav@lehman.com

Very nicely written and narrated. I,with my 6 college friends had done same trekking organised by YHAI in Jan 2005. I am just recollecting those moments after this. During our trip we went to Dainkund ( yes `Dain’ = Witch in Hindi ) which is prohibited to common citizens by military. But, we were allowed to those very very beutiful and snowed area due to this trek. It was the best & first trek of my life. I remember seeing Khajjiar plain from the mountain and we came down to Khajjiar within 4-5 hours after lunch. I was amazing.

We had returned to Delhi – stayed at YHAI Delhi in one of best diplomatic area of Chankyapuri. We took Delhi Darshan and Agra – Fatehpur Sikri one day trip. I am re-living those my beutiful moments with your trip details.
