I was bored with a work-related issue, so veered off to do something fun. I ended up porting Sebastian Riedel’s Text::SimpleTable to Python. Here’s the result.

@Baiju: Thanks for the heads-up. As Shreyas said at last week’s BLUG meet, we can’t keep stopping ourselves that it’s been already done, otherwise we would never do anything ourselves. Anyway, it’s good to see a mature texttable out there.
