Thanks a ton for making that clear. The view.php seems to be a simple and easy way of achieving the same.

There is a plugin that creates pdfs of each post. There was also ljbook.com that will make a pdf book out of a wordpress blog. There are plugins that make for easier emailing of posts. Considering this, would you still like to have an html export? Creating an html page with your post in it is as simple as saving the page from the browser as a .html page.

If you want to hide certain output, and make an page with only the post in it, you can create a new template, call it view.php or whatever else, and use only those template tags that show the content, and the stuff that you’d like, while omitting the others in index.php This is what Matt was referring to earlier.

Thanks for replying, but I quite didn’t get how a template can accomplish the same thing? I know the answer will be simple but it just eludes me right now.
