Always on software

There are three software that are always open for me at work:

  1. Konsole - for coding
  2. Firefox - for email, internal websites, news, etc.
  3. Gaim - for talking to colleagues

It’s interesting that I don’t use anything else at all.

Hmm, I can’t get anything done if I’m not connected to the network. I’m useless by myself. Has the age of the drones cometh?

    You are a victim to the “Network Effect”.

    I don’t have internet @ home, it sort of inhibits my coding when I can’t look up docs on the net.

    What, no mail client?

    Oh, nevermind. I see that you use FF for mail.

    @Sudhir : I don’t need XMMS for entertainment. I have my colleagues ;-)

    @Gopal, @Atul : Yeah, I’m making a conscious attempt to try to do things offline these days, but it’s hard to resist the network’s temptation.

    @Premshree : Heh.
