Cycling vs biking

Posted by Swaroop C H on December 31, 2004 Filed under: cycling

I thought my biking trip was radical but check out ShreeKumar who just completed a cycling trip from Chennai to Kolkata - over 2000 km on cycle in 15 days!!! He is either a total energy junkie or simply gone crazy ;)

He has promised complete details once he gets back to Bangalore... can't wait to read more about it.

Shree Kumar says:

Hi Swaroop!

Assure you I haven't gone crazy - not yet ;)

I'll be posting all details, and all pics, real soon!

Thanks for your interest & encouragement!

BTW, we both spoke at LB/2004, we're python crazy, and biker boyz to boot!

Happy New Year!

Hey Shreekumar,

I remember you now - I attended your SCons talk!! LOL. Great to know that we have so many similar interests :)

Liza says:

Is there a difference between cycling and biking? Like is one term used for on-road bicycling and another for off-road?

Swaroop says:

@Liza Sorry for the confusion. The general tendency, in India, is to refer biking for motorcycles, and cycling for, well, cycles.
